I would like to express the results I've personally received and seen from Neural Reset Therapy. In training, I personally witnessed 26 amazing outcomes from this type of training. One person, in particular, had an issue for 10 years that was resolved within 30 seconds once the problem muscles were identified and treated. He experienced immediate relief!
I personally have had an issue with external rotation on my right hip, that wasn't enough to bother me in my day-to-day too often, but whenever I was in external rotation on that side and in a stretch (in yoga for example) it was painful and limited my flexibility in that hip. In less than 30 seconds the treatment reset the muscles involved and I experienced immediate relief. The next morning, I went into that external rotation with stretch in a yoga pose and I had NO PAIN! In fact, I was able to stretch further into the pose than I’ve been able to in YEARS!
What does this all mean? It means that the benefits of this therapy are unlimited. For example, if we release the hamstrings to increase hip flexion then runners would be able to maximize stride length and- in theory- improve their performance. Any athlete that has to run would benefit from that same hamstring reset. Now imagine how many muscles we have in our bodies and if they are reset to optimal muscle length what the endless possibilities are. Even if you aren't an avid exerciser or athlete, imagine how your day to day could go with just the freedom of normal range of motion in joints! - Cathy Christy – Iowa massage therapist
I have been trying out the NRT on most of my clients, sometimes a little of it, sometimes a lot. If I “follow the rules” I usually have really good results. Funny how that works.
The young figure skater I had in on Tuesday was totally blown away by what I did. She came in specifically at my request for me to practice this “new stuff” on. She had skated for 3 hours, and then gone to the gym and lifted right before she came in at noon. When I increased her hamstring ROM by about 60 degrees she was hooked.
I have been working one clients psoas every other week for over 2 years. I get it somewhat relaxed but she continues to be bent over. Yesterday after only her second NRT psoas session in 2 weeks she was standing up straight, not even thinking about it. She is almost 86 years old and very large breasted, and I never thought I would see her upright! We also released her L shoulder which has been very painful for about 3 months. I just applied the principles of NRT to the rotators and pec minor and the pain was gone.
This stuff is amazing! It gets me excited about going to work and how quickly I can help people now.
For many of my clients I will do NRT first, and then spend the second half of the hour doing regular massage. It is SO much easier because almost everything is relaxed already!
My kids, 21 and 23 year old boys, call it voodoo magic, because I can make such drastic changes in their muscles and ROM, so easily and quickly.
I am so pumped and can hardly wait for the Upper Body portion in September!

Given my history, I did not have any particular expectations when I began NRT therapy with Kristi Vloedman. In short, about a decade ago I was in a car accident in which the SUV I was driving rolled 14 times, I was then ejected from the car and skidded across the pavement, which essentially scalped me. According to the doctors, I broke nearly every bone in my body, most significantly were the neck (odontoid process), shattered pelvis and a compound fractured femur. After multiple surgeries and countless hours of P.T. I had more or less become accustomed to my somewhat mis-aligned and scarred body. Early on, I sought help through adjunct therapies, namely chiropractic and massage. However, most of the scar tissue was so deep and impenetrable that typical massage techniques proved to be extremely painful and overall useless. Additionally, because of the severity of some of the prior injuries, the therapists were so tentative as to be too nervous to actually work on me.
I should mention that Ms. Vloedman actually approached me, explaining this new technique and how she felt I could benefit. Using the NRT technique, Kristi was able to address muscular issues wherein the muscles themselves were too tight or painful to touch otherwise. She was able to “wake up” muscles that had been dormant for over a decade. To be honest, I had come to accept chronic pain related to certain injuries. Within a few sessions, atrophied muscles were functioning, and pain was dissipating as the scar tissues loosened. On that note, due to significant, thick scarring across my scalp and forehead, I’d not been able to fully close my right eye since the accident. Happily, I now can.
Looking back to when I first visited Ms. Vloedman and was asked to chart areas of concern, I found myself struggling to identify issues. I had become so accustomed to chronic pain and limitations that I did not view them as treatable. Within months of treatment through NRT, my overall pain is greatly reduced while my general mobility has increased exponentially. Given the severity of the scar tissue build up around almost every injury and surgery site, I am not sure what other technique might have been able to achieve the same success. - Tarrah C. — client in Durham, North Carolina
I am someone who lives with a congenital dysfunction (hip dysplasia), which has had a correlation with childhood ankle sprains and those have residual impact on my adult body. Also, I live with painful tendencies, such as Sciatica, SI Joint misalignment, and soft tissue chronic tension in the abdominals and hip flexors of my affected side.
As an adult, I have learned through physical medicine how to maintain my physical health by doing things such as specific exercises, correction of SI misalignment and stretching- strengthening to appropriate muscle groups. For many years I have luckily lived with minimal pain. However, like many people, when I am unable to follow my exercise routine, I can get in trouble.
For example, I am a student; the past spring was dedicated to a heavy course load. I found myself glued to my computer and my desk and essentially sedentary for many hours more than my body is comfortable with.
In imbalance, my condition causes abdominal torqueing and psoas spasm enough to keep me from standing up straight or moving freely without pain, and I must use caution with movement to keep from experiencing sharp pain. My symptoms at their worst will travel, anterior and posterior, from my lower back all the way into my foot.
My level of inactivity during this past semester, combined with hours of sitting posture, led me to being misaligned, out of shape, and in significant pain. There I was, a professional massage practitioner, supposedly athletic and supposed to know better, in relapse and in pain at about 6 out of 10. I couldn't relieve any of it, I had let it all go too far.
My colleague Mr. Stephens performed a lower-body NRT session with me. Naturally I expected good results knowing that he is a skilled practitioner, however I did not expect the tremendous results we had. After only one session my symptoms were completely gone, something that I was preparing to have to struggle through weeks to accomplish, and even then I would not have been able to be so thorough. Most importantly, I had a release to my oblique tissue that has never been accomplished before, and I was able to maintain 0 out of 10 for two weeks effortlessly. Because of the oblique release I experienced, I have been able to move more freely than ever as an adult.
I am one month out from that treatment and still having only minimal symptoms occur. I am feeling better during movement such as running than I have ever felt; I feel better aligned than before and am thrilled with the efficiency and thoroughness that is characteristic of this technique. –Meg O.
Here is a typical response from a therapist who took the Lower Body course about 2 1/2 weeks ago.

In 1975, at the age of 14, I had surgery for scoliosis. They inserted a Harrington rod and fused my spine from T8 to L4. In 1988, I began having neck pain and headaches. By last year I was having chronic headaches. Last February I started NRT treatments, along with an exercise program specifically developed for me, an anti-inflammatory supplement, and I stopped eating gluten. I had a thermogram in February and another in June. The decrease in the amount of inflammation in my body was amazing. After about 2 months of NRT and exercising, my headaches were few and far between. The almost constant tension in my neck and shoulders was decreased by 90%. I feel that NRT was the main help in decreasing the muscular tension in my neck and shoulders. I am now practically headache free! I still get an NRT treatment every 2 weeks as we continue to work on all of my muscular issues with exercise, but I amazed at how much better I feel!
